Stairs
Custom steel stairs — stringers, treads, and railings fabricated in the shop and set on the mountain.
A steel stair has to feel solid underfoot and look like it belongs in the house. Edge Welding fabricates custom stairs in the Gypsum shop — stringers, treads, landings, and railings — then installs them on Vail Valley jobs so the fit is the same as the drawing.
We build interior feature stairs with wood or steel treads, exterior runs, and shop stairs with diamond-plate treads when the job needs traction and a clean industrial line. Railings are part of the same package, not a second contractor bolting on after the fact. Powder coating stays in-house so color and finish match the rest of the metal on the job.
Recent stair work includes the Beaver Creek stairwell and stringer package, plus stair railings on the Bachelor's Gulch 160 LF railing job. Bring drawings or a rough opening — we will tell you what we can build and what we need from the GC.
